Evil Dead Burn: he new video preview will make you afraid of candles

A new video preview has been released for Evil Dead: Burn—also known as The Evil Dead 6—and we guarantee that after seeing what this terrifying Deadite does in this scene, you’ll never look at candles the same way again… The first clip from Evil Dead Burn, coming out this summer, is finally available, and you can watch it in the player at the bottom of the article: in this new preview, a young woman under the control of a Deadite drinks hot candle wax, and it’s hard not to shudder while watching her.

Of course, this kind of gory, macabre horror is why people love the Evil Dead movies, and we’re sure this scene is pretty tame compared to what’s in store for us next month. Not surprisingly, the clip ends with the Deadite locked in the basement when another one appears outside the house, and it looks far more menacing than the girl drinking the wax. Oh, and to top it off, it has a demonic dog with it… Let the madness begin!

“Evil Dead Burn kicks off the franchise’s wildest and most terrifying ride to date, bursting onto the big screen with a brand-new chapter of carnage and demonic chaos,” reads the film’s synopsis. “After the loss of her husband, a woman seeks comfort from her in-laws at their isolated family home. As one by one they are transformed into Deadites, turning the gathering into a hellish family reunion, the woman discovers that the vows made in life continue to live on…even after death!”

Legendary director Sam Raimi launched the now-iconic horror franchise with his 1981 directorial debut, The Evil Dead, which follows five friends at a cabin in the woods who accidentally unleash terrifying demons. Evil Dead II was released in 1987, while Army of Darkness concluded the original trilogy in 1992. Since then, we’ve had 2013’s Evil Dead and 2023’s Evil Dead Rise, directed by Fede Álvarez and Lee Cronin, respectively. Additionally, Evil Dead: Wrath, also known as La Casa 7, has already been announced, with writer-director Francis Galluppi (The Last Stop in Yuma County) returning behind the camera to tell another standalone story tied to the Book of the Dead: the cast of this film includes Charlotte Hope (The Nun), Jessica McNamee (Mortal Kombat), Zach Gilford (Midnight Mass), Josh Helman (Mad Max: Fury Road), Ella Newton (Dangerous Animals), Elizabeth Cullen (Diabolic), and newcomer Ella Oliphant.

Turning to The House: The Burning of Evil, the film features a cast including Souheila Yacoub, Tandi Wright, Hunter Doohan, Luciane Buchanan, Errol Shand, George Pullar, Maude Davey, and Greta Van Den Brink. The film is directed by Sébastien Vaniček and written by Florent Bernard and Sébastien Vaniček. Rob Tapert and Sam Raimi are the producers. The executive producers are Romel Adam, Bruce Campbell, Lee Cronin, and Jose Canas. Vaniček is joined behind the camera by cinematographer Philip Lozano, production designer Nick Connor, editor Maxime Caro, and costume designer Sarah Voon.

The House: The Burning of Evil will be released in Italian theaters on July 8. The next chapter in the saga, titled Evil Dead Wrath and currently already in production, will arrive on April 7, 2028.
